Join us for a full day exploring the Scottish Highlands — from a magical forest walk at Reelig Glen and the mysterious Fairy Glen, to uncovering the true history of the Loch Ness Monster, to walking the ancient stones of Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness.
We start our morning less than a mile from our rental cottage at Reelig Glen, a forest walk near Inverness with towering 200+ year old Douglas Firs (including some of Britain’s tallest trees!) and the eerie, beautiful Fairy Glen. Then we drive the Highland back roads (watch for Highland cows!) to Drumnadrochit, where the modern legend of the Loch Ness Monster began in 1933. We finish the day at Urquhart Castle, one of Scotland’s largest castles, with sweeping views across Loch Ness and the Great Glen.
